Andy is a freelance photojournalist documenting the lives of marginalized people with a focus on compassion, empathy, and shared humanity. As a 29 year old disabled and queer woman who grew up in poverty, she has a unique insight into the struggles and triumphs of oppressed existences. Andy wants to aid people in telling the stories that rarely get heard, with respect and without exploitation.

Based in Madison, WI, Andy has photographed many protests, events, and members of her community. Andy is entirely self-taught but recently completed the photojournalism and documentary photography program at New York Institute of Photography. She is currently contributing to Our Lives Magazine, Wisconsin's only queer magazine. She hopes to work with other publications on more long-form projects soon.
